We’re an RAC Approved garage on Linaker Street, and our workshop is run by a team that includes three Master Technicians who joined us from a main dealer. That background means we can service and diagnose most makes and models to the same standard you’d expect from the manufacturer, using the manufacturer’s own service schedule and OE or like-for-like parts.

What’s included in your service

We offer three servicing options, Bronze, Silver and Gold, recommended at 12 months or 10,000 miles, whichever comes first. Each is built around your vehicle’s age and mileage, so you’re only paying for what your car actually needs. Once the work is done, we update your digital service history where applicable, so your service record stays exactly as it would if you’d used a main dealer.

Every service comes with a 12-month labour guarantee, on top of the manufacturers’ warranties on any parts we fit.

How we keep you in the loop

Rather than just telling you a job needs doing, we photograph and video what we find and send it straight to you on WhatsApp. You see exactly what we’re looking at, we talk you through it, and nothing extra goes ahead until you’ve agreed to it.

Booking your car in

Give us a call and we’ll take your details and a quick description of what you need. From there we’ll text you on WhatsApp to confirm everything and keep you updated while your car’s with us. If it’s easier, you can also drop your car off outside our normal hours using our key safe, and it’ll be kept securely in our compound until we open.

What’s the difference between the Bronze, Silver and Gold service?

Each option is matched to your car’s age and mileage, so the amount of work carried out increases from Bronze through to Gold. When you book, we’ll recommend the right one based on your vehicle’s service history and what’s due.

Will servicing with you affect my manufacturer’s warranty?

No. We service every car in line with the manufacturer’s schedule using OE or like-for-like parts, and we can update your digital service record where applicable. That means your manufacturer’s warranty stays intact.

How much does a service cost?

It depends on your car and which of our three service levels it needs. Call us with your registration and mileage and we’ll give you a clear price before any work goes ahead.

What happens if you find a fault during my service?

We’ll photograph or video it and send it to you on WhatsApp so you can see exactly what we’ve found. We only carry out extra work once you’ve agreed to it.

Can I drop my car off outside your opening hours?

Yes. We have a key safe for out-of-hours drop-off, and your car is kept securely in our compound behind the garage until we’re ready to start work.

Do you work on all makes of car?

We service most makes and models to main dealer standard. If you’re not sure whether we cover your car, give us a call and we’ll confirm straight away.

Visiting us

Kerr Motors is just off the A570, within easy walking distance of Southport train station, the bus routes into town, the shops and King’s Gardens. While you wait, our reception has free Wi-Fi, refreshments and a WC, and there’s parking on site if you’d rather leave the car with us and come back later.
